Responsible AI
At Sensei AI, we believe that artificial intelligence should empower athletes and coaches, not replace them. Our commitment to responsible AI is built on transparency, privacy, and human-centric design.
The Data Lifecycle of Your Video
We are transparent about how your data is handled from the moment you hit upload.
Upload & Encryption
Your video is encrypted in transit and securely uploaded to our EU-based servers.
Biomechanical Extraction
Our system extracts only the necessary motion data (joint angles, velocity) to analyze your technique against our knowledge graph.
Analysis & Feedback
You receive personalized, text-based feedback and drill recommendations. The raw video is not used to train generalized AI models without explicit consent.
Retention & Deletion
Videos are retained only as long as needed for your coaching history. You can request full deletion of your data at any time.
1. Human Oversight & Coach Augmentation
Sensei AI supports your coach. It doesn't replace them. Our platform is designed to provide objective, biomechanical data and actionable insights that coaches can use to refine their training programs. We are a tool for enhancement, not a substitute for human expertise. We actively encourage users to share their Sensei AI analysis with their human coaches to foster a collaborative training environment.
2. Privacy & Data Governance
Your data is your own. We store your training videos securely on EU-based servers (Netlify EU region or equivalent) and only for as long as necessary to provide our service. Features like the Rival Journal operate entirely on your device—your notes on opponents never touch our servers. You can request a full data export or deletion at any time by contacting privacy@senseiai.ai.
3. Transparency
We believe you should know why Sensei AI gives the advice it does. Our system always displays a confidence score alongside its analysis. If the AI is unsure about a specific movement due to camera angle or lighting, it will tell you. Our outputs are based on a structured knowledge graph of combat sports, and we are clear about the limits of our current capabilities.
4. Safety, Wellbeing & Ethical Analysis
Sensei AI focuses strictly on technique and biomechanics. Our system is programmed to never comment on a user's physique, body type, or personal appearance. We do not use shame-based gamification or negative reinforcement. If a user asks for medical advice or injury diagnosis, the system will immediately deflect and advise consulting a medical professional. At launch, our service is restricted to users aged 18 and over.
5. Consent, Misuse & Content Moderation
We have strict rules about what can and cannot be uploaded. Users may only upload footage of themselves or public-figure professional fighters for analysis. Uploading footage of amateur third parties, sparring partners without explicit consent, or minors is strictly prohibited. We employ automated and manual moderation to detect and prevent the upload of inappropriate, non-consensual, or harmful content. If you believe your footage has been uploaded without your consent, please contact abuse@senseiai.ai for immediate takedown.
6. Accountability
We hold ourselves accountable to these principles. If you have concerns, questions, or complaints about our AI practices, we want to hear from you. Please reach out to our team directly.
